Bill was there helping Mel Nelson. When they were not working on the car he was on the fence watching the races. Ater all of the videos we have put out refering to Bill he has always been a good sport. Bill is probably one of the most popular guys in radial tire racing who don't have a radial car. Bill is an outlaw 10.5 racer. Thats right, A "W" GUY. Not just any, he is the baddest motherfucker on w's. The Zaldavar/Futch corvette is one badass ride.

  Unlike some people who let that go to their head, Bill is a very nice guy. You can walk right up and talk to him just about anytime and he will take a few minutes with you. Bill spends alot of time traveling to and at races. I have said before that one characteristic of Bill I admire is his loyalty. He is always true to his class and he keeps the same crew members.

 Bill also is very exciting to watch race. Bill does not like to lift, he is a true racer. When talking with him at SGMP he told me it's hard to walk away. When water was coming up out of the track at another race, they knew it. They had actually got a little loose the round before. I told him I would put it on the trailer and go home. Bill said,'I tried, but just couldn't do it".

Bill, thanks for laughing with us and not getting mad. You are a great guy and a great racer. Hopefully oneday we can be lucky enough to get you into the radial tire racing world. It would be our honor.
